From Intuition to Impact: Leticia Ortiz’s Therapy Journey

Meet Leticia Ortiz, a compassionately pragmatic therapist whose journey from marketing and management to full-time therapy is guided by intuition. Across Mexico, Italy, Switzerland, and beyond, Leticia has cultivated a deep understanding of human connection, enriched by her multilingual abilities and global experiences.

Driven by a mission to help others become their best selves, she combines empathy, practical solutions, and powerful subconscious techniques to guide her clients toward clarity, healing, and powerful transformation within themselves. From volunteering during crises to contributing to  TEDx Zurich, Leticia’s life is a testament to the power of following your dreams, embracing growth, and creating meaningful impact.

“I’ve always followed my intuition—it has guided every step of my path.”

What inspired you to transition from marketing and management to becoming a full-time therapist?

The short answer is intuition. I always follow my intuition, and beyond it consistently being right, it has guided me to my highest good—through great challenges, rewarding growth, and countless blessings. I  have never once regretted following it.

Throughout my life, people would share their joys, struggles, or secrets with me—even strangers— saying, “I don’t know why I’m telling you this, I just met you.” Looking back, I realize they felt they could trust me because they sensed I genuinely cared. Many times, I wanted to help more, but didn’t know how.  I understood I needed to develop new skills and knowledge to truly support others.

At the time I made the shift, I had felt for years a deep desire to have a role where I could meaningfully help people live better, feel loved, and become their best selves. During the pandemic, with more time to connect with myself, I realized it was time to find a new path. After months of research, I discovered that becoming a therapist was exactly how I could fulfil my mission.

How have your international experiences living and working across Mexico, Italy, Switzerland,  and beyond influenced your approach to therapy?

Living abroad has nurtured me and expanded my sensitivity. Experiencing different cultures and perspectives has increased my curiosity, understanding, and ability to empathize—essential qualities for effective therapy.

These experiences have deepened my appreciation for humanity. The more I meet people, the more amazed I am by them. I have realized that, at our core, we all want the same things: we all want to be well, be happy, and the same for our loved ones. This understanding allows me to work confidently with anyone, regardless of age, background, or life story.

You speak six languages—how does multilingualism help you connect with clients and understand cultural nuances?

Multilingualism allows me to connect with people on a deeper, more heartfelt level. Speaking someone’s mother tongue helps capture nuances that can be “lost in translation” and often builds trust and openness. Many feel closer to you and respected when you speak their language, which is a great start.

However, language alone isn’t enough. Cultural knowledge and sensitivity are even more important.  I’ve connected deeply with people without sharing a common language, simply by being open, attentive,  and empathetic. This is the true beauty of human connection

Can you share how your work with TEDx Zurich complements your therapy practice?

TED is a fascinating world of ideas, innovation, and human growth. I feel alive at every event and inspired by the possibilities they create. It has opened my eyes to perspectives I might never have encountered otherwise, strengthening my hope, trust, and love for humanity. It fills my heart to see so many are rooting and contributing to human evolution.

Working with TEDx Zurich has also enhanced my authority and confidence as a therapist, enabling me to share my mission more effectively. It continually inspires me to bring constructive, solution-oriented approaches into my sessions, empowering human beings to embrace their own growth.

“At our core, we all want the same thing: to feel seen, safe, and loved.”

How do your worldwide experiences in event organization and team coordination inform the way you support clients and groups?

Coordinating teams and organizing trips worldwide taught me patience, creativity, and a deep understanding of human behavior and connection. These skills translate directly into therapy—especially during visualizations, exercises, and unexpected moments in sessions.

Fun fact: I was a creative, energetic child, and these experiences helped me reconnect with that part of myself. Feeling fully aligned and empowered allows me to empower others even more effectively.

What role does self-actualization play in your work, and how do you help clients reach their full potential?

Self-actualization is central to my practice. The better I am, the better I serve individuals. I have trained with Marisa Peer, one of the most renowned therapists on Earth plus I believe and have seen the amazing results of continuous growth -personally and professionally- to deliver the most potent sessions possible.

I guide them to connect deeply with themselves—their intuition, inner wisdom, inner compass—, heal old wounds, release limiting beliefs, and access clarity, peace, and drive. I work with the subconscious mind and their inner child from the very first session, enabling fast, profound transformation.

I see myself as a translator of human potential, helping people liberate, empower, and become their best selves, creating extraordinary lives full of alignment, joy, and meaning.

How has volunteering during crises, like your work with Emergency in Italy, shaped your  perspective on resilience and human connection?

During the pandemic in Italy, I witnessed immense struggle, but also incredible resilience. Helping others reinforced the importance of solidarity—sometimes the smallest gesture could be life-changing.

Human connection is vital. We live in a world that craves genuine connection. By being caring even in small ways, we create ripples of kindness that improve the planet. Imagine a place where we all notice each other, smile, and recognize each other’s worth—that’s the ripple effect I hope to inspire.

How do you balance being pragmatic and solution-focused with fostering empathy and emotional growth in your clients?

I let my inner wisdom guide me. I combine deep empathy with strong therapeutic training and a focus on practical solutions. This balance helps release blocks, process emotions, and move forward, not just solve problems; it ensures they feel understood while gaining actionable tools to transform their lives. I  want them to thrive.

I love that combination of empathy and pragmatism, I see others do too, because why would you want someone to just understand and not lead you to any solution, or why would you want anyone giving you solutions when they don’t understand you? You can have both, so contact me!

What lessons from your background in marketing, PR, customer service and management do you bring into your therapy practice?

My previous career gave me a deeper understanding of human needs, desires, and communication. I  usually know how to perceive what people want—even if unspoken—and how to present solutions in ways that feel encouraging and empowering. This insight enhances every session, helping individuals feel supported and understood while guiding them toward growth.

What advice would you give to people looking to thrive personally and professionally in multicultural environments?

Differences should enrich us, not divide us. Living in a multicultural environment is a blessing: it allows us to learn, give and grow exponentially. Understand the culture, language, and rules of your surroundings, and be respectful. Know yourself, your strengths, and share them without expectation.

In these crazy yet transformative times, let us focus on the true evolution of humanity. It starts with ourselves first, that’s where our power lies, let us share our best selves, the world needs it more than ever. Let us be careful not to be distracted, not to engage in negativity, anger, jealousy, fear but in LOVE  which is who we really are. We are infinitely powerful beings and by aligning with our essence, we are contributing enormously to our planet, we create a ripple (whether we realize it or not).

‘We are meant to be loved because we exist—not for what we do, have, or look like. There is enough for everyone, and you are enough. Choose WIN-WIN’

May all of us be in oneness, one true love, one true community.

Let us create a kinder and thriving society together. It is possible.

Much love and blessings to all humankind.
