Thanks to the Queen of Clean herself, Mrs Hinch, it seems even more Brits are turning to cleaning and organising as a way to seek satisfaction.
But what feels better? Sex or completing household chores?
This inspiredHeatingForce.co.ukto find out what chores Brits found the most satisfying after completing and compared them to everyday things we do for pleasure.
To do this, HeatingForce.co.uk surveyed 3,234 participants and asked them, out of the 15 common household chores, which ones they dreaded doing the most and which chores they felt the most satisfied after completing.
THE RESULTS
Most Satisfying Chores Brits Hate Doing
The household chore that Brits feel the most satisfied after completing is making the bed with a whopping 89%agreeing that the feeling of their bed being made compares to no other.
Although more than half of respondents voted this chore as one they dread doing, in second placeischanging the bedsheet with 74% of participants agreeing that there is no better feeling than sliding into a bed with clean sheets.
Ranking third with a satisfied 71% is tidying up. Thereafter in fourth place is washing up (70%) and in fifth place is doing the laundry with 68%.
The household chore that Brits dread the most is cleaning the toilet with 61%, with only 38% voting they feel better after the chore… something a ‘Tik Tok cleaning hack’ can’t fix.
Better than…
When the participants were asked if the satisfactory feeling they get when they complete eachhousehold taskwas better than sex, 59% collectively agreed it was.
When asked if the satisfactory feeling was better than watching TV, 61% of participants agreed it was.
When asked if the satisfactory feeling was better than shopping, only 49% agreed itwas.
