What does it mean for you being the wife of such a big personality as Ervin?

Ervin was a reputed concert pianist already at the time we married and he has only widened and enlarged his ‘big personality’ along the road. So I can say it is all a matter of course and I am used to it.

How much do you think you have impacted or influenced his success and career?

I like to think I have brought unconditional love and support to him, which are the strongest positive influence on any person.

How would you best describe the life’s journey you have shared together?

A journey of adventure – exploring new ways of living, new friends, new environments, but always doing it together. And learning along the way. That is the main feature of any life’s journey we think.

Despite the truly worrisome news on global climate change, terrorism and abuse in so many sectors, there is an increasing awareness of our plight in today’s world!

What have been the biggest challenges of this journey?

To shift from one continent to another, and from one cultural sphere to another. But to stay together and do it together.

What lessons have you learned from each other along the way?

One word: the meaning of LOVE. Something that is sustained, always present, and never even questioned.

How would you describe your own career – do you feel personally fulfilled?

My own interests, music and languages/literature have been marvellously fed all along our life together. Music has always accompanied us, and the fact that we have lived in many countries and that we have such a wide range of international friends and acquaintances has helped me learn many languages. I feel truly fulfilled in this aspect.

What are the things you are most proud of in your own life, as success or achievements?

I am most proud of our two sons Christopher and Alexander, the kind of human beings they are and what they are bringing to the world.

What is the biggest regret you have?

My biggest regret is not having learnt Hungarian, although I did learn some in the beginning while my in-laws often visited us. But I then decided to try to perfect the six languages I knew, rather than dilute my language pool.

What is your opinion about the world we are living in today?
Despite the truly worrisome news on global climate change, terrorism and abuse in so many sectors, there is an increasing awareness of our plight in today’s world that is already followed by small-scale positive action, and that is a good sign. One only hopes we are not too late in making the shift on a large scale.
