Mirela Sula Appointed as the First National Goodwill Ambassador for UN-IOM Albania
In a significant announcement, our CEO Mirela Sula has been named the first National Goodwill Ambassador for the UN, International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Albania. Having personally navigated the complexities of migration, Sula’s appointment as Goodwill Ambassador is emblematic of her journey from a migrant with little English, no financial support, and the responsibility of being a single mother, to a figure of inspiration and leadership. Sula’s advocacy work aligns with IOM’s mission in Albania, which focuses on supporting individuals and communities affected by migration, as well as assisting the Government of Albania in ensuring good migration governance. “I’ve seen firsthand the incredible work that IOM is doing in Albania… I’m happy to join hands with them in creating a more supportive environment for migrants,” Sula added.
