Travel companies allow trips to be postponed free of charge

It seems like the travel companies are relaxing their policies to encourage bookings as the industry is facing an unprecedented challenge due to coronavirus.

Destinations with no cases of coronavirus, such  as some islands in Greece and some other cities in Spain and Portugal have seen a rise in online holiday searches.

Travel companies are encouraging people to keep booking holidays during the coronavirus crisis.

Some tour operators  in the UK are among those waiving fees if clients want to change the destination or date of their trip.

Travelsupermarket is reporting a spike in online searches for destinations with no cases of coronavirus, including the Greek island of Santorini, Barbados, the Maldives, Tenerife etj.

UK tourist boards are also encouraging hotels to be flexible about booking policies. But the experts say that people are not going to consider travelling at all before June.
