In this interview she shares some interesting details and tips from her entrepreneurial journey.
Why did you decide to open your own business and was it difficult to leave the security of your 9-5 job?
At age 36 I started to look at my life and think – is this it? Is this as good as it gets? I started to question everything, I knew I had a bigger dream than the one I was living, and the longer I stayed in my 9-5 the more I began to see that my dreams might never come true! So, I left London to move back home to Ireland in the middle of a recession and without really knowing what I would do. I just trusted that I was making the right decision and I truly believe that when you do that, and commit fully, with all your heart, then the right opportunities present themselves. And that’s exactly what happened!
Why did you go into the business you currently own? How did you differentiate yourself from the competition?
I’ve always wanted to have my own business, where I could travel, work on my own terms and help people – I didn’t know at first that my business was going to help women make more money, but the more I pursued my dream, the more I saw that it was what I was here to do. I’m different because every day, from my head to my toes, I’m living my message. I’ve built a multiple 6 figure business from my home office from a tiny corner of Ireland. I’m doing right now what my clients want to do! It feels very authentic and inspiring to be leading the way for them to have the kind of business that pays them what they want and allows them the freedom to live exactly as they want! That brings them from all over the world to work with me!
Describe your business model
I work with clients both one-to-one and in groups, as well as international business intensive masterminds in New York, Paris, London and Ireland.
What is it that motivates and drives you in everyday life?
I want to live a luxurious and freedom-fuelled life; the kind of life that only a successful business will allow. And it has to be on my terms. And of course, supporting my clients success – knowing that many go from charging 50 an hour to 500 an hour very quickly with my help. This radically changes a woman, and what she sees as possible for herself and for her business. These days I take pictures of people before we begin working together so we can look back in 6 months or a year and see how much they have changed. Being in control of how much money you make really changes you. I love that! I also know that what I teach them, they will in turn teach other women – maybe many other women! That ripple effect is wildly inspiring. It’s like I’m lighting their fire and showing them what to do once its lit – we have to lead the way to keep it burning bright!
In one word, describe your life as an entrepreneur
What do you put your success down to?
I truly believe and have faith in what I’m doing – at my core! The world needs more women to be able make money!
What would you say are the key elements for starting and running a successful business?
Have one powerful idea that you can get behind with everything you’ve got – and then you need commitment, consistency, discipline and tenacity in order to realise that one idea!
You will be a speaker at the ‘Global Woman Summit 2018’. What do you want to get out of the event?
I want to show women that growing a successful business is not complicated – we over-complicate enrolling clients, success and making money. We look beyond the simple powerful things we can do every day to have the biggest impact and instead attach ourselves to tactics and tricks and strategies that aren’t designed to work quickly. Because when we think it has to be hard, then it is hard. And that is a cycle I commit to breaking every day, with every woman I work with.
