Women that are successful often describe their success as stemming from a sense of inner power. Build your Self-confidence
Lidija M Rosati (Bestselling Author, Business Coach, Weight Loss Expert, International Speaker and Entrepreneur)
One of the keys to success is being very clear on your ‘Vision’, your ‘Why’ and your ‘What’. Vision and your ‘Why’ are very important because if your vision is feeble and vague then your ‘Why’s’ will be of the same quality. Make sure you spend quality time developing your ideas and then creating a vision around those ideas. Then make sure you have very solid and strong ‘Why’s’. Ask yourself some tough and challenging questions like; ‘Why do you want to make that idea a reality?’
Surround yourself with big thoughts
Carin Va Loon (Director of Happy in Progress, Belgium)
To be successful you need to be in charge of your thoughts and that means being very aware of the influence of your subconscious mind. Be very clear about what you want. Always have an outcome in mind but don’t get fixated on a particular way of achieving the outcome. Planning is essential, plans are useless. Having behavioural flexibility and having a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances are both central to great leadership.
Becoming extraordinary business leaders
Lara Khalaf (Speaker at TEDx, Board Member at Los Cuatro Almendros, Elite Leadership Coach and Trainer)
The first and most important aspect of extraordinary leadership is becoming an extraordinary human being because this is the basis of good quality leadership. Think about it; who you are is ultimately how you lead your team and how you serve your customers. An angry person will lead from anger and serve in anger whilst a positive person will lead with positivity and will create positive interactions with customers.
The second important aspect is making the conscious decision of wanting to become an ‘extraordinary leader’ and this will be followed by truly understanding and defining the meaning of both words. If I don’t know where I am going then how will I know when I get there?
I believe leadership is a learnable skill and it’s learned by design. In the same way that you become a doctor by going to medical school – learning from doctors before gaining practical experience – you will need some support/training in learning the principles of leadership that will help you design your own leadership DNA. On the journey to ‘extraordinary’ we may require the support of others and these “others” are also called “teams”.
Surround with the right people
Natasha Aylot (“Get Blissed” Author; The Self-Empowerment & Liberate Yourself Coach and Speaker)
Have a fabulous idea of WHAT you want to achieve. Develop an unbreakable belief in WHY you are the one to make it happen. Be clear on HOW you are going to deliver it and serve others. Then Give it everything you have got.
Be part of a powerful mastermind group of people who encourage you and hold you accountable but also help you grow.
Knowledge is power
Giovana Vega (Founder of ‘Trading for Women’)
In order to stay successful you must stay informed about current trends in financial empowerment. It is quite sad that some young women today are still completely financially dependent on other people rather than just dependent on themselves. For some, it’s their parents or relatives who foot all their bills. Others rely on credit cards and tend to spend without caution. Some married women do no better; the entire responsibility for their family’s finances is laid on their spouse. They’re content to know nothing about their family’s money situation. This is all ‘shades of wrong’. According to statistics nine out of ten women, at one point or the other in their lives, will find themselves alone and in charge of their finances. So, why not start getting that knowledge now?
Be a good role model for others
Tove Lovisa Bergkvist (Co-Founder/Owner at Nordic Residence )
Knowledge is powerful and an important part of life. The European vision of a ‘knowledge society’ suggests that the core of a knowledge society is its system of learning. Knowledge will also help you maintain your integrity and to be a good role model for others.
