Mirna, you’ve built an inspiring platform through HerStory. Can you share with us the moment you realized the need for such an initiative and what motivated you to start this journey?

The idea for HerStory emerged from a personal challenge I faced five years ago. A female colleague underestimated me, and this moment became a turning point. I realized the immense need to empower and uplift women by creating a platform that celebrates their stories, amplifies their voices, and provides them with the tools to overcome barriers. HerStory was born to inspire women to shatter glass ceilings and redefine their potential.
The HerStory Talk Show has garnered significant recognition for its authenticity. How do you ensure that each story shared resonates deeply with viewers, and what role do personal narratives play in empowering women?
Authenticity is at the heart of HerStory. Each guest’s narrative is deeply personal, and we work closely to ensure their stories are presented in a way that connects emotionally with the audience. These narratives not only inspire but also serve as a reminder that challenges can be overcome with determination and support.
Your empowerment programs focus on personal branding, leadership, and entrepreneurial growth. What do you believe is the key to helping women refine their skills and increase their influence in male-dominated industries?
The key lies in confidence, self-awareness, and strategic skill-building. Our programs focus on helping women embrace their unique strengths, refine their brand, and develop decision-making skills. These elements, combined with the courage to take risks, enable women to thrive and lead authentically.
How do your programs help women executives stay true to their identity and values while scaling their leadership roles and making impactful decisions?
Our programs emphasize the importance of authenticity and balance. We guide women in embracing their femininity while being strong leaders. By aligning their values with their professional goals, they can make decisions that are not only impactful but also true to their core identity.
In what ways does your work align with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, and how do you see the country’s evolving cultural landscape influencing the future of women’s empowerment?
HerStory’s mission aligns with Vision 2030 by promoting gender equality, supporting entrepreneurship, and fostering leadership among women. The cultural shift in Saudi Arabia has created a fertile ground for women to rise and make impactful contributions, and HerStory is committed to supporting this transformation.
You’ve been recognized as one of the Top Arab Creators on LinkedIn. What has this recognition meant for you, and how do you leverage platforms like LinkedIn to foster engagement and amplify women’s voices?

This recognition validates the impact of our efforts and provides a larger platform to inspire and connect with a global audience. LinkedIn is a powerful tool for fostering dialogue, sharing success stories, and creating networks that amplify women’s voices and achievements.
Winning the Community Impact Award by Women Changing the World is an incredible honor. What does this recognition mean to you, and how has it impacted the work you’re doing with HerStory?
The award is a testament to the collective impact of HerStory. It has strengthened our resolve to expand our programs, create more opportunities for women, and ensure their stories continue to inspire change and innovation worldwide.
As a leader in women’s empowerment, what do you think are some of the biggest challenges women still face today, and how can we address these challenges on a systemic level?
Women still face barriers such as limited access to leadership roles, lack of mentorship, and cultural biases. Systemic change requires policies that promote inclusivity, access to education and leadership training, and societal support for women’s contributions in all sectors.
You’ve built a community around the HerStory platform. Can you tell us about a specific success story that truly exemplifies the transformative power of your work?
One of our most inspiring stories is of a young entrepreneur who attended our workshop on scaling businesses. With the strategies she learned, she transformed her small idea into a thriving company, employing other women and contributing to her community.
What are some of the most exciting initiatives or projects you’re currently working on, and how do you envision HerStory growing in the future?
We’re expanding our workshops to include more specialized leadership training and launching a mentorship program for young women in STEM fields. In the future, I envision HerStory becoming a global platform that not only empowers women but also shapes policies for gender equality.
What advice would you give to young women who aspire to create positive change in their communities or industries, but feel they may not have the resources or support to do so?
Start small but dream big. Leverage the resources you have, build a strong network, and remain resilient in the face of challenges. Every step you take brings you closer to your goal, and your passion will attract the right opportunities and support.
