Marie Reynolds—The Skin Whisperer Who Heals Beyond the Surface
You may walk into my clinic expecting a facial—but what you’ll receive is so much more. I don’t just treat skin; I read it. The way you sit, speak, even how you hold your hands—these are clues. Your skin is a map, and behind every line, mole, or flare-up lies a story waiting to be uncovered. With over 35 years in the wellness and skincare industry, I’ve woven together disciplines like Quantum Energy Medicine, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Gut Health Therapies, Soul Alchemy and Dermal Resonance to treat the root, not just the symptom. Because true beauty isn’t just skin deep—it’s energetic, emotional, and ancestral.
Your work bridges science and intuition. When someone walks into your clinic, what’s the first thing you pay attention to—beyond the skin?

How a person sits, speaks, and how they hold their hands – if they fight or grasp their hands tightly. I look at lines, moles and marks that give clues to what energetic blockages they may have. I may even ask to look at the ears, feet and back as these give further clues of energetic blockages and genetic energetic prints – even how they were born, if they were born by forceps, or C-section, can all contribute to factors with skin and wellbeing.
You’ve studied everything from Bowen Technique to Quantum Energy Medicine. How do all these disciplines come together in your treatments?
We are not a 2D being – we are walking, talking human novels. The body interacts with millions, if not billions, of things during the day, from moulds, pollutants and heavy metals, chemicals, viruses, bacteria, products we place on our skin, ingredients we eat and the things that animals may have eaten – not only that people we have interacted with the energetic imprints of our ancestors. All of these things contribute to our ‘toxic bin’; some of us are born with a toxic bin 1/4 full, and some are almost full, so what we do and where we live impact this toxic bin. By looking and asking the right question, you can then treat beyond the 2D – the problem is that with allopathic medicine and with how we have been programmed, we tend to think in a linear form and not look beyond.
Many people still separate skin care from emotional or energetic wellbeing. How do you help clients understand the link between their skin and their inner world?
An example is acne can link to the liver, eczema to the lungs, psoriasis to the stomach and lungs and Rosacea, Kidneys and stomach – by looking at patterns that can cause an imbalance in these systems and supported by ‘re-setting’, you can get amazing results – the skin is a barometer of what is going on within.
What role do you believe trauma—especially intergenerational or childhood trauma—plays in chronic skin conditions or sensitivities?
Absolutely – in the energetic medicine field it is believed that you carry the decisions and trauma of the last four generations and that is so for what decisions we make carries forward to the next four generations – now these ‘energetic frequencies’ can lay dormant but if they are interacted with another frequency like a heavy metal or vaccination it can flare yup – looking at where the issue is another clue – every organ has an emotional link – liver anger and frustration but also a notion of feeling stuck or no direction – spleen worry – kidneys fear all of which can lead to all sorts of emotional high and lows. In TCM (traditional Chinese Medicine), there are the eight extraordinary meridians that are deep, primordial channels that hold generational traumas and have their own trajectory in how they manifest in the body and skin. Acupuncture and Soul Alchemy are therapies that aim to release the blocks of trauma patterns locked in the body.
How did your journey evolve from therapist and trainer to creating your award-winning skincare brand? Was there a turning point or moment of clarity?
I have always been a bit of an alchemist and have always foraged and made my remedies. I treat many celebrities and leading beauty editors – their job is trialling many therapies and skincare products, and I was always the one who was called upon to help restore the skin if there was a reaction. One of the beauty editors asked what a substance was I had given to her to repair the skin and urged me to bring it to market – anyone who has their skincare brand knows that if you make it from scratch it is a very long and very expensive process – it has to go through many safety testings and reports and registrations and can take unto 18months. I ended up launching Restore – it won Vogue editor’s choice and has continued to be a hero product to many. From there, I was asked to launch a cleanser and so forth, so I bit the bullet and released the range to include the supplements to support the skin.

Your treatments, like Energy Therapy and Dermal Resonance, are incredibly unique. Can you describe what a client might feel during one of your sessions?
Dermal Resonance is really imprinting the skincare with frequencies that the patient’s sample reacts positively with, so the products can be imprinted with collagen, peptide or amino acids that specifically resonate with the energetic frequencies of that patient. Energy therapy is more in-depth – the patient may feel a deep state of relaxation, tingling or a warmth over the body, some even report a light buzzing in the legs and hands.
You’ve lectured worldwide, worked behind the scenes in product development, and now run your clinic. What part of your career has brought you the deepest fulfilment?
Helping others in their skin and wellness journey. Not so long ago, there were acid attacks in Singapore. Time, the babes were suffering from severe eczema. One babe had to have his hands bound from the moment he was born because his skin was so raw from the fumes in the atmosphere. Restore and Anoint were used on the skin of the infants, and the results were amazing – the babe was able to have his hands unbound, and the mother said it was the first time she saw him smile since he was born. The products have been used in film for reactions from prosthetics and are loved by leading make-up artists. The MRL skincare and supplements are also on the C-List, a site that provides safe skincare for those who are going through Cancer.
With so many trends in beauty and skincare, how do you stay rooted in what’s real, what works, and what truly heals?
Authenticity is most important to me – understanding that many things are fads that come and go and have no depth, and knowing that the true old methods of healing and deep rooted remedies and energy healing never fade.
You’ve worked with celebrities and on major film sets—how does skincare for actors under extreme conditions differ from everyday treatment?
An actor’s skin undergoes heavy applications of make-up, glue and prosthetics that can impact the lipid barrier and microbiome – this can cause inflammation and bacterial impactions. Add to that the environment – under harsh lighting, location of filming and long hours, poor diet, all of which present in the skin. It is important to support the lipid barrier and feed the epidermal microbiome, as well as support with supplementation and good hydration.
What inspired the creation of your product line—and how does it reflect your philosophy of healing from the inside out?
We are what we are by what we eat, inherit, experience and what we think. Knowing the body changes every second of every day and being fluid and adaptable is key, rather than fixed linear thinking. The human body is like a novel; you just have to know how to read the chapters!
