“True career growth isn’t just about landing a job—it’s about uncovering your strengths, embracing your purpose, and stepping boldly into opportunities you once thought were out of reach.”
What first inspired you to become a career coach and mentor?

My inspiration stemmed from my own personal journey, navigating multiple career changes and challenges. I know firsthand how overwhelming it can be to face major life decisions without guidance or clarity. That experience planted a deep desire in me to walk alongside others, whether they’re clients, students, or professionals so they don’t feel alone in the process. I wanted to be the person I once needed: someone who listens, supports and helps make sense of the uncertainty.
How did your journey in consulting and recruitment shape your approach to helping others?
My experience in consulting and recruitment gave me a 360-degree view of the job market. I saw the inner workings of different industries, understood what employers truly value, and recognized the gap between job seekers’ potential and how they present themselves. I learned that while technical skills are essential, mindset, adaptability and confidence are what truly set people apart. That’s why my approach isn’t just about polishing resumes or preparing for interviews—it’s about equipping people with the mindset and tools to thrive and grow in a fast-changing world.
What do you find most rewarding about guiding students in their educational and career paths?
The most rewarding part is witnessing transformation. There’s nothing quite like watching a student evolve from feeling unsure or lost to becoming confident, focused, and empowered. Seeing them gain clarity, take bold steps and realise their own potential is incredibly fulfilling. It’s like watching a seed grow into something strong and beautiful and knowing you played a small part in that journey.
How has teaching guitar influenced the way you coach and mentor people?
Teaching guitar taught me the power of patience and personalization. Every student learns differently; some need structure and discipline, others need encouragement and flexibility. That lesson deeply shaped how I approach coaching. Whether I’m working with a student, a mid-career professional, or an aspiring leader, I take the time to understand their learning style, motivations and fears. I tailor my approach so they feel seen, heard and supported just like I did with my music students.
Why is supporting women in entering the tech industry so important to you?
Because representation matters, and it changes everything. Too often, women are underrepresented in tech not due to a lack of ability, but due to stereotypes, self-doubt, or a lack of support. I believe women bring invaluable perspectives, creativity and leadership to the industry. Supporting them isn’t just about getting more women into tech roles; it’s about empowering them to break barriers, challenge norms and shape the future of technology in Singapore and beyond. When we lift women, we elevate entire communities.
What changes have you seen in Singapore’s job market in recent years and, and how do you help people adapt?
Singapore’s job market has gone through a major shift, especially with the acceleration of digital transformation. Roles are evolving rapidly, and the traditional “safe paths” are no longer guaranteed. To help individuals and companies adapt, I focus on identifying and strengthening transferable skills, encouraging continuous upscaling and building resilience. It’s no longer just about chasing stability; it’s about staying agile, being open to growth, and developing the mindset to thrive in an ever-changing landscape.
Can you share a success story of someone whose life or career you’ve helped transform?
Absolutely. One of my most memorable students came to me feeling lost and lacking confidence. She doubted her abilities and didn’t believe she belonged in the tech world. Through our coaching sessions, we uncovered her strengths, built up her self-belief and identified a clear path forward. She eventually landed a role in tech that she once thought was out of reach. Today, she’s thriving, growing and even mentoring others. The most powerful moment was when she told me, “I didn’t just get a job, I found a purpose.” That’s what it’s all about.
What’s the biggest challenge people face when making a career transition, and how do you help them overcome it?
The biggest challenge is fear of failure, fear of judgment, and fear of the unknown. Change is scary, especially when it involves your livelihood or identity. I help people face that fear by breaking the transition into small, actionable steps and by reminding them that progress doesn’t have to be perfect, it just has to be consistent. I also emphasize self-awareness and clarity, because courage grows when people understand why they’re making the change. It’s not just about jumping; it’s about building the runway to take off.
What’s your vision for the business you want to launch?
My vision is to create a purpose-driven business that bridges the gap between talent and opportunity. It will go beyond traditional recruitment, it will empower individuals, especially women, to transition into meaningful and impactful careers. I want to offer a space where people feel seen, supported, and prepared not just for their next job but for a future they’re proud of. Ultimately, it’s not just a business; I want to build it as a movement of transformation and inclusion, especially within Singapore’s growing tech landscape.
What drives you to keep building meaningful connections and influencing lives?
What drives me is the belief that one moment, one conversation, one piece of advice, or one opportunity can change the trajectory of someone’s life. I’ve experienced the power of that firsthand, and I want to be that bridge for others. For me, this work isn’t about transactions or titles, it’s about legacy. It’s about helping people discover their potential, believe in themselves and step into the lives they were meant to live. That’s what keeps me going every single day.
