How I Reprogrammed My Shame Around Money
My personal journey from financial shame to freedom—and how you can do the same
If you’ve ever felt a pit in your stomach when talking about money, you’re not alone. I’ve been there too. I’m Alina Hlipcă-Radovici, Global Brain Reprogramming & Success Mindset Expert and creator of the yourmoneymaster method, and I want to share something deeply personal: how I rewired my relationship with shame—and money.
Because here’s the truth: you can’t create abundance when your nervous system is still tied to shame.
Let me take you back to where it all began.
I Felt Unworthy of Having More
Growing up, money wasn’t something we talked about—it was something we feared. Even as I began to achieve more, grow my business, and receive recognition, there was a voice inside whispering:
“Who do you think you are?”
Every financial win was followed by guilt. I would overgive. Undersell. Avoid receiving. Not because I didn’t want success, but because some part of me felt I didn’t deserve it.
This is what I call shame-coded success—where your outer results are misaligned with your inner story.
The Turning Point: Discovering the Power of Brain Reprogramming
Things began to shift when I realized that shame is not the truth—it’s a story the nervous system clings to for safety. Using tools from neuroscience, emotional intelligence, and the Universal Laws, I started peeling back the layers.
I began to ask:
- Where did I learn that having more makes me less lovable?
- Who taught me that money is selfish, greedy, or unsafe?
- What patterns am I repeating from my family system?
Awareness was the first step. But it wasn’t enough. I needed to rewire the shame.
Three Practices That Helped Me Reprogram My Money Shame
Let me share three things that were game changers in my personal transformation—and which I now teach inside the Yourmoneymaster Method.
1. Emotional Mapping: Finding the Root of the Shame
I started by identifying the core emotional experiences tied to money.
Using emotional mapping, I asked myself:
- What memories do I have of money and rejection?
- When did I first feel like having money caused distance or disapproval?
This process helped me uncover that it wasn’t about money—it was about belonging. Once I saw this, I could stop blaming money for wounds that had nothing to do with it.
2. Daily Reparenting and Nervous System Recalibration
Shame lives in the body.
I created a daily ritual where I would sit with the younger version of me—the one who learned to feel small around success—and offer her safety.
I used affirmations like:
- “It’s safe for me to receive.”
- “I can be wealthy and loved.”
This rewiring process, especially before sleep, helped my subconscious adopt a new emotional baseline: trust instead of tension.
3. Redefining Wealth on My Own Terms
Finally, I stopped measuring success by other people’s standards.
I began to ask:
- What does prosperity feel like to me?
- What kind of legacy do I want to build?
- Who do I become when I lead with purpose, not pressure?
This allowed me to move from performance to presence. And that’s when the money flow changed. Not just in volume—but in joy.
Why This Matters: You Can’t Outperform Your Self-Worth
No strategy, funnel, or hustle can compensate for a self-concept rooted in shame. If your inner world still sees success as dangerous, you’ll find ways to block it.
That’s why brain reprogramming isn’t optional—it’s the foundation.
Inside the yourmoneymaster method, we use practical, neuroscience-backed tools to release emotional blocks and embody the identity of someone who can hold wealth—not just attract it.
Because abundance doesn’t come from effort alone. It comes from who you’re being.
Your Turn: What’s One Money Belief You’re Ready to Rewrite?
If you’re ready to shift your relationship with money from shame to power, start by writing one new belief today.
Try this: “I am allowed to be wealthy and still be deeply loved.”
Repeat it. Feel it. Let it root.
And if you want to go deeper, DM me the word SHAME and I’ll show you how we do this step-by-step inside the yourmoneymaster method.
Because you don’t need to fix yourself. You just need to reclaim the truth of who you are.
