Grace Ofure Ibhakhomu: Building Wealth Beyond Property

From selling second-hand clothes on the bustling streets of Lagos to becoming a global force in real estate investment, Grace Ofure Ibhakhomu has rewritten the rules of wealth creation. As the Founder and CEO of Lifecard International Investment Ltd and visionary behind Platinum Invest and the New Money Summit, she empowers thousands to grow their finances through smart, structured strategies—without ever owning a single property. With over $50 million in transactions across four continents and a mission to democratize financial education, Grace is not just building portfolios—she’s building legacies.

What major life lessons have shaped your leadership?

One major lesson I have learned is that clarity attracts results. Life will always present challenges, but clarity in vision and consistency in execution can turn those challenges into stepping stones. I have also learned that nothing is truly impossible. My team knows—when I say something must be done, it gets done. I have built a mindset that seeks solutions, not excuses. Because I see myself as a problem solver, I approach every roadblock with confidence and determination to break through.

How are you empowering women today?

My journey has not been without resistance, but it gave me a deeper drive to empower women. Financial dependence silences too many dreams. That is why I mentor women to own their voice, earn their worth, and multiply their income. This mission inspired the 10% Challenge, where I teach women, especially those just starting, how to become high-performing entrepreneurs. Wealth is not a luxury; it is a necessity for women who want to lead, serve, and sustain impact.

Through my Wealth Creation Academy, I go even further. I teach people how to earn money and grow it. Many people say, “I do not know how to make money.” I start there by teaching them how to generate income, and then how to multiply it.

What mindset shifts helped you evolve into a wealth creator?

Becoming a wealth creator starts with identity. I stopped seeing myself as someone who works for money and started seeing myself as someone who builds systems that work for me. I cultivated a mindset of abundance, discipline, and execution. I practice visualization, strategic thinking, and structure because wealth responds to structure, not wishful thinking. I have built systems that keep working even when I am not physically present. That mindset has shaped everything about my life, even in the smallest details.

What does mentorship mean to you?

The most rewarding part of mentorship is watching people step into their potential. I connect with my mentees through authenticity. I do not just share my wins, I share my mistakes. That transparency creates trust. One of my proudest moments was seeing a mentee surpass her 2025 target in January of that same year. That told me mentorship works.

It is why I created the Wealth Creation Academy, to offer not just coaching but practical, actionable learning. Mentorship is a journey. I walk with my mentees from clarity to execution, helping them build confidence and capacity.

How do you balance business with life and rest?

For me, balance is about prioritization. I do not believe in doing everything; I believe in doing the right things at the right time. I delegate where needed and protect my time. I am blessed with a supportive team, husband, and children. I also travel often, and I find that I rest better outside my usual ecosystem. Even on business trips, I make time to reflect and rejuvenate. I have learned that mental clarity fuels my productivity, so I protect both my peace and my pace.

Who are your role models?

Yes, I have had mentors, some I met in person, others I studied from afar. Oprah Winfrey is a huge inspiration to me. Her resilience and intentionality continue to guide how I show up. But I also draw strength from women who rose from humble beginnings and built global influence. I choose role models based on discipline and the intentional way they build their businesses. And today, I am proud to be that kind of role model to others. Because I know where I came from, and I use that story to relate and inspire.

Wealth is not a luxury. It is a necessity for women who want to lead.

What’s your perspective on financial literacy?

The biggest misconception is that financial literacy is just about saving and budgeting. True financial literacy includes ownership, cash flow, asset creation, multiplying wealth, and generational wealth transfer. Financial intelligence is not just about building money; it is about creating systems that outlive you.

Money is a tool. But until you learn how to get money to work for you, you will remain a slave to it. The only way out of that cycle is to increase your value and exchange that value with intention and strategy. Otherwise, many will live paycheck to paycheck for a lifetime.

Money is not just for spending; it is for multiplying. When we see it that way, we start to make long-term, generational decisions, not just quick fixes.

Wealth is not a luxury; it is a necessity for women who want to lead. That clarity transforms everything.

What setbacks have made you stronger?

There was a time I invested in a major development project that did not go as planned. It almost shook my confidence. But I treated that failure as feedback. I re-evaluated my systems, made them stronger, and came back with even more clarity.

Today, that experience drives my mission to teach others. I have developed real estate courses and authored books. I have also expanded into international markets like Dubai, where I now serve as an underwriter and global real estate strategist. I am not just teaching theory, I am living the reality. I have made mistakes, but I have turned them into lessons and leadership.

What is your long-term vision?

My vision is to build a global platform that democratizes wealth creation. I want everyday people to become confident asset owners and strategic investors. I want Africans, and other global citizens to not only invest in their own countries but to invest internationally, owning real estate-backed assets across continents.

Through Lifecard, Platinum Invest, New Money Summit, and the Wealth Creation Academy, I am laying the foundation for that future. My goal is not just to create success stories, but to build success systems that can be transferred, scaled, and sustained.

Wealth is not a luxury; it is a necessity for women who want to lead.
And I want to make sure every woman remembers that.
