From Burnout to Balance: My Journey to Wellness and Purpose
By Lami’ah Momoh
For years, I lived by a simple motto: keep going. Like many women in business and high-pressure environments, I believed the ability to push through no matter how I felt was a strength. I was proud of being dependable, productive, and focused. But underneath the surface, I was slowly burning out.
With a background in law, I had been trained to analyse, stay composed under pressure, and keep moving forward. While I didn’t go on to practice law professionally, that mindset followed me into every area of my life. I became a woman who could handle things for everyone else. But for myself? I was running on empty.
It started with my sleep. What began as occasional restlessness grew into full-blown insomnia. I would lie awake for hours, my mind racing, my body tired but wired. Eventually, I began relying on sleeping pills just to function. They worked for a while. But the fatigue, fogginess, and emotional drain persisted. I was no longer just tired, I was disconnected.
I didn’t realise how much this was affecting me until everything else began to unravel. My energy was low. My motivation dipped. I found myself constantly irritable and unable to focus. Then, things at home shifted. My beloved mother’s health began to decline due to Alzheimer’s, and I was thrown into a deeper search for her, and for myself.
I started researching. I wanted to understand how the body heals, how the brain works, and whether there were natural, drug-free ways to support both of us. That journey led me down many rabbit holes but eventually, I discovered something that changed everything: a small, light-activated wellness patch designed to stimulate the body’s own healing mechanisms by activating stem cells.
At first, I was sceptical. It didn’t make sense to me that such a small patch, worn on the skin with no drugs or chemicals, could have such powerful effects. But something about it intrigued me, especially the science behind it. It uses light and the body’s own heat to stimulate specific peptides and cellular activity. I decided to try it.
To my amazement, I began to sleep. Naturally. Deeply. Restoratively. And not just for one night consistently. After years of relying on medication, I was finally getting real rest. My energy began to return. I started waking up refreshed. It felt like I was getting my life back.
But it didn’t stop there. I noticed that my emotional wellbeing also shifted. I felt more hopeful. More connected. More “me.” And as I saw small wins in my mother’s comfort levels and clarity, I knew this wasn’t just a product it was a lifeline.
That’s when I knew I couldn’t keep this to myself. I had stumbled upon something powerful and I was ready to share it with others.
Today, I’m a Wellness Advocate. I work with women, particularly business professionals, caregivers, and high-achieving individuals who feel the pressure to keep it all together. Many of them are silently struggling. They look successful on the outside, but internally, they’re drained. I help them explore gentle, effective, non-invasive ways to support their health physically, mentally, and emotionally.
What I share isn’t a miracle cure, it’s a tool. One that works with the body’s own intelligence. It’s about activating what’s already inside us. This particular patch has been shown to help people with energy, clarity, recovery, and overall well being. And most importantly, it reminds us that wellness doesn’t have to come from outside of us it can begin from within.
Over time, I’ve seen incredible stories unfold. People who struggle with discomfort, poor sleep, or low motivation are seeing real results. Women who were running on caffeine and stress are now waking up with energy. Mothers, entrepreneurs, and professionals are getting their spark back.
But what inspires me most is how this work creates ripple effects. When one woman feels well, her entire ecosystem benefits her children, her clients, her colleagues. Wellness is contagious. And empowered women create healthier families, stronger communities, and more conscious businesses.
If you’re wellness curious or exploring alternative income streams, what I do also offers a way to turn healing into purpose. This isn’t just about feeling better, it’s about leading better. Sharing wellness is powerful. It’s meaningful. And it gives women a chance to align their work with their values.
I believe we’re at a turning point. The world is waking up to the fact that conventional methods alone aren’t always enough. More people are seeking holistic, non-invasive solutions that work with the body, not against it. And women, especially, are at the forefront of this shift.
So, what’s the first step? Start small. Prioritise sleep. Drink more water. Move your body. Breathe. And if you’re curious about new wellness technologies like the one I use, be open. Ask questions. Listen to real stories. And most importantly, trust your body’s wisdom.
I’m not here to tell you what to do, I’m here to show you what’s possible.
You don’t have to sacrifice your health for your goals. You can be successful and well. You can care for others without abandoning yourself. You can reclaim your energy, your focus, your joy one choice at a time.
My story began with sleep loss and stress. But it led to strength, service, and a deeper sense of purpose. And now, I help other women start their own journeys not from a place of desperation, but from empowerment.
